Ras El Hanout - Moroccan Spice Blend

A few years ago, my husband found this spice blend recipe online. It has one of the most intriguing flavor profiles I’ve ever tried. We use it for chicken skewers on the grill or baked chicken thighs and it just kicks it up a notch. Enjoy!

Yield 8 tablespoons

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander

  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 2 teaspoons turmeric

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons sugar

  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons paprika

  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons ground black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves
